On the occasion of the Memory and Hospitality Day 2023 and the tenth anniversary of the tragedy of October 3, 2013, the October 3 Committee is organizing a series of workshops, commemorations, evening events, roundtable discussions, and demonstrations on the island, a symbol of immigration in Europe.
On October 3, 2023, there will be a march from Piazza Castello to the Porta d'Europa, where there will be a moment of remembrance and prayer for the 27,000 people who have lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea over the past 10 years.
